LIVE WEBINAR FOR THERAPISTS WHO HAVE TAKEN MY WEEKEND WORKSHOP ON STRUCTURAL DISSOCIATION AND EMDR THERAPY
This fall, for the first time, Kristen Wold and I will be teaching two sections of a nine-month small group live Webinar. We will use Anabel Gonzalez and Dolores Mosquera’s EMDR and Dissociation: The Progressive Approach as the text. Each month’s three-hour webinar’s format, limited to 12 participants, will include a didactic presentation, discussion of the readings, and ample time for structured case consultation. EMDRIA CEs will be applied for and NBCC credits will be offered.
In addition, for the thirteenth year, I will be teaching my academic year long 30-hour Advanced Seminar beginning in September.
I also offer the following that do not follow an academic calendar:
If you’d like to explore whether any of these options might be right for you, I hope you’ll email me or call at (413) 256-EMDR (3637).
MY ROLE AS A CONSULTANT
I have been an EMDRIA Approved Consultant since 2003. I provide skillful, detailed suggestions and information in a warm and supportive way. You can read comments by some of my group and individual consultees here on my website and I welcome the opportunity to discuss this possibility with you. I usually type transcripts of my consultation sessions and make them available, along with relevant specialized protocols, information and assessment tools, shortly afterwards. In this way, your learning is reinforced and you have access to relevant, additional material that deepens and broadens your skills.
EMDR is the primary focus of my work, as I define myself as a trauma therapist. I routinely integrate Structural Dissociation theory and practices as well as Ego State Therapy into my work with clients. We all have many “parts” or aspects of ourselves. But when childhood and adolescent traumas and neglect have been experienced, there are often younger parts of self that respond in ways that are no longer healthy or helpful. Narrative Therapy adds perspective and depth to my therapeutic and consultation work as it helps keep me attuned to the politics of the therapeutic relationship and to the many ways in which we can help clients retell their story of their lives in richer and more fulfilling ways. I am trained in Energy Psychology, specifically in Thought Field Therapy, and may share its relevance in clinical consultation.
Advanced Seminar: Integrating Structural Dissociation, Ego State and EMDR Therapies – 30 NBCC hours – as well as 12 EMDRIA CEs (the most you can use in a two-year period) – are approved!
Each year since the fall of 2007 I have offered an academic year long exciting and unique Seminar. Level II EMDR trained clinicians who regularly use EMDR will have the opportunity to learn and integrate Structural Dissociation, Ego State and EMDR therapies so that they can be more successful in working with clients with Complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorders. Members will practice and learn to use two core approaches to Ego State work, as well as powerful safety procedures. Didactic presentations and Case Consultation are a part of each month’s three-hour meeting. Assigned articles and session transcripts deepen the learning process. Preference will be given to those who have participated in an EMDR Consultation Group before.
Past participants have come from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, Florida and Nevada.
The cost is $100/month; $80 for full-time Community Mental Health Clinicians.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN IN JULY FOR THIS FALL
I provide individual (and occasionally, small group) consultation for clinicians who want to become EMDRIA Certified therapists. CLICK HERE for a fuller description of my Certification process that assures that you are comfortable and competent in using EMDR Therapy with your clients.
Feel free to email me at email@example.com or call me if you would like to explore if this group is right for you. My phone is (413) 256-EMDR (3637).
As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant with 14 years of EMDR experience, I provide ongoing consultation to EMDR trained clinicians locally and by HIPAA compliant Secure Video with clinicians in many states. EMDR-trained clinicians usually contact me because they want to become EMDRIA Certified, or several years into the work when they realize they are stuck with a client who has complex trauma and is dissociative.
As you can see by my Weekend Workshops and my Advanced Seminar on the Integration of Structural Dissociation, Ego State Therapy with EMDR Therapy, complex trauma and dissociation are areas of expertise for me. Treating children with EMDR is another area of expertise. And, of course, I have broad experience using an EMDR approach to treat depression, anxiety, and some other disorders.
PAY ONLINE FOR CONSULTATION
If you choose, you can pay online on this website for consultation. Checks are cheerfully accepted as well. After you click “Pay Now”, you will be asked to enter the amount for your fee. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use the PayPal option on my website.
